WINTER CAMPING SURVIVAL SKILLS

Saturday, December 18th we will be camping in Tim's Scout World at Pinnacle Church (down the hill from the church, by the river). The plan is to arrive at 9:00am at Pinnacle Church. Eat breakfast BEFORE arriving. Bring a bag lunch for Saturday's lunch. Dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning will be provided for you.

During this outing we will:

1)
Build winter shelters
2) Work on the trail from the church to the Scout Hut
3) Conduct a Board of Review for any Scout who needs one to recieve their Rank at the Court of Honor on Monday. (Last chance.)
4) Support Pinnacle Church (our chartered organization) by doing a service project Sunday morning. CLASS "A" UNIFORMS REQUIRED.

What to bring:

*Something to drink (I recomend water)
*Something to eat (pack a bag lunch)
*Something to keep you warm (dress in layers and bring gloves and a hat or a toboggan)
*Something to keep you dry (a winter rain jacket or a disposable rain poncho, just in case)
*Something to carry your stuff (a backpack is a wonderful thing, but keep it light)
*Something to help with the shelter (Tim has authorized 1 tarp and 1 rope per scout)
*Something to help you work (I recomend some work gloves for the trail)
*Something to make you look sharp (that means bring your CLASS "A" UNIFORM for Sunday)
*Something to make this fun! (I recomend a smile and a good attitude)
