Getting Ready for Klondike

We spent this past Monday night getting our sleds ready for the big Klondike event this weekend at Camp Daniel Boone. The scouts did an excellent job working together to build their sleds. Thanks to Josh Francis for being the power tool man. I know it was difficult for him to simply run the saw without telling the scouts how they "should" construct their sleds. Also, a big thanks to Rob for acquiring skis for us to use for runners. I think it's going to be a great weekend. We will attach the runners Friday before we leave! Get ready for an adventure!!

This past weekend our troop hosted a group of 17 adults for Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills. Steve Skinner did an excellent job assembling a knowledgeable staff (several from our unit) for the event and everyone seemed to enjoy their time around the Church property. The location was great - the weather was not! I am including some pictures of some of the activities.

Scout Sunday

This coming Sunday, February 12th is Scout Sunday. All scouts and their parents are encouraged to attend the 11:30 service here at Pinnacle Church. Scouts are asked to be here by 11:00 to help park cars, hand out worship guides and to help with other activities prior to the service. We will all try to sit together during the service in the middle section. This is the one time during the year that we would like for you to attend services here at Pinnacle. I know that many of you have other Churches that you attend regularly and we do not want to keep you from those commitments but Scout Sunday is only once a year and we would like for our Chartering Organization to see just how many people we contact on a weekly basis through the Scouting program. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 734-5719. See you on Sunday
